One of the latest and sickest additions to the insane present Swedish hardcore roster is Malmös HARD PASS. They came from what might appear as nowhere and took the scene by surprise with the highly explosive hardcore attack that is their debut cassette “Hardcore 2024”. Immediately praised both locally and globally. But HARD PASS did everything but come from nowhere. In fact, their members have produced hardcore bangers steadily throughout decades. INTENSITY, SNIFTER, PYRAMIDO, ANCHOR, SATANIC SURFERS, MANIC RIDE and MAN IN SHACKLES are just a handful of excellent hardcore acts these guys have figured in.
HARD PASS brings just about everything you can wish for to the hardcore smorgasboard. Relentless fury and speed, songs and lyrics with a real meaning, screams that will keep you awake at night and of course excellent musicianship and song writing. The INTENSE production is a result of the band recording everything live by themselves in the practice space. Getting Mattias MP Persson (KONTROVERS, URSUT) in on the mixing and mastering was another genius move to seal the deal in creating the perfect sounding hardcore EP. Yes, it does sound that awesome. This is not just another deceitful promotion text saying whatever to fool you into buying a run of the mill record. I can truly say I haven’t heard a record this fierce and intense in a long time. HARD PASS is definitely HARDCORE 2024!
This 7” EP is the vinyl version of their cassette “Hardcore 2024” with updated track sequencing and artwork. Released in cooperation with the excellent DE:NIHIL RECORDS.
