PERRO DE PRENDA "Diskografia" LP
18,00 €
Talking about Perro De Prenda might be unfamiliar to most listeners, but behind this solo project is Albert Limones, a person involved in more well-known projects like INSTITUTE, NOSFERATU, ALTAR OF EDEN, and DESTRUXION AMERICA, while also brilliantly managing the cassette label SOUND GROTESCA. This album compiles the complete discography of his personal punk project in 14 tracks, originally released on different cassettes under the titles "VOL.1," "VOL.2," and "TIERRA HOSPITALARIA" (a split release with DESTRUXION AMERICA).
In Palo Mayombe, the "Perro de Prenda" is the deceased spirit residing within the magical cauldron or nganga, which is manipulated and controlled by the ngangulero. This spirit is fundamental to the practitioner's development, as it protects and serves the palero, requiring respectful treatment and training for its proper manifestation or conjuring. And so these 14 tracks are presented with a raw, unpolished sound, reminiscent of a lost demo from an obscure band from the State of Mexico that barely played a handful of concerts in the early 90s, or a recording by one of your favorite Japanese bands before they released that album that's been spinning on your turntable for ages. Limited edition of 100 copies on 12" black vinyl with a 31x31 insert featuring the original cassette lyrics and artwork, and a screen-printed open cover.
